BASKK SWINGS INTO SPRING WITH A SWANKY NEW ‘RUM BAR’……
Hello ‘Baskk Rum Bar’ where have you been all my life, the dimly lit back bar is painted in dusty pink hues with flowing fabric curtains and planation style furnishings. It has a private bar area offering an array of rums from around the globe-coupled with selected wines and local beers.
As rum is becoming a happening thing on the coast and with the first agricole rum distillery Husk opening in Tumbulgum (just down the road), Baskk at Kirra Point thought it timely to launch their new Rum Bar to capture the unique flavours of the region.
The Baskk venue quickly gained a reputation as the place to be (circa 2017) when the sun goes down, offering sunset gin cocktails on the beachfront deck along with a share plate menu inspired by the flavours of the Mediterranean.
Baskk’s main dining hall offers a classic sit-down experience for those ‘O’ so special occasions and swiftly turns into a dance floor complete with local Dj’s spinning tunes, well into the night.
The ‘Baskk Rum Bar’ has crafty cocktail barmen mixing up a creative list of drinks, such as said Husk rums (spiced and white) complimented with local, fresh ingredients like finger limes, mint and sugarcane juice.
The recent fit out of the rum bar has added another dimension to the venue, for those after dinner drinks or after work knock offs- reminisce of a downtown whisky bar, only with rum. (but there is also an array of whisky and fine spirits on offer)
Baskk is the perfect place to book a function, party, everything- with an array of areas to choose from this ever-evolving venue oozes coastal charm and has placed the southern end of the coast well and truly on the food & rum map.
